You will love the combination of bananas, oatmeal and chocolate chips with just a hint of cinnamon and nutmeg. So good! They’re like a cross between banana bread and a chewy oatmeal chocolate chip cookie, and seriously, they’re just heavenly.

If you have overripe bananas, this is the perfect recipe to use them up. The browner, the better! I used three medium bananas for this recipe, but if yours is a different size, I’ve included the amount of mashed bananas measured in cups for convenience.

I added chopped pecans and coconut flakes to one batch of the cookie dough and these additions were a delicious variation if you want to try them that way someday too.

I used a standard size cookie scoop and was able to make just over 4 dozen cookies. ONE silicone baking mat made the cookies practically fall right off the pan. If you haven’t made the switch to baking with silicone mats yet, DO IT. They are so nice and I will never go back.
